Reopening news

Forgive the formatting, my period key is broken, so I'm avoiding using the one on my keypad when I can because I keep twisting my wrist in stupid ways when reaching for it

First, I want to say that the positive response to my last launch was humbling and overwhelming (on a personal level as well as a shipping level obviously, haha). I'm almost caught up - if you have an outstanding order, look out for an email for me soon - so I'll be reopening sometime within the next week.

I want to make sure I have a system in place to prevent shipping backlogs of this caliber in the future, so:

• I'm delaying the PETRICHOR X release to April - I really don't want to get caught up only to fall behind again immediately
• I'm devoting one day a week (Wednesday, my normal admin days) to filling sample bottles ahead of time and manually removing the volume of each perfume from a digital inventory appropriately, and another couple of hours on Fridays to do more inventorying. I'm also working on building an inventory database linked to my materials that should alert me when a material gets low, starting with the perfumes that have been the hardest to keep in stock.
• I'll be closing on the last two days of every month to catch up on overdo to-do list items.

I've lost track of quite a few packages this last month due to running out of things, and it reminded me of when another company got mocked for saying they had an 'order shelf' where orders with OOS items were getting forgotten. I was partially filling orders with OOS items and then sticking them on a shelf, and I realized, oh my god, this is not just a shelf with pending orders on it, this is my ORDER SHELF. Cue endless shame, haha. So it's really important for me to get better organized because nobody should have to follow up on their order or deal with delayed TATs.

I also really need to prioritize getting The Golden Curl, Leafcrown'd, and Stuffkin back up on the site and designing the labels for new botttles (packaging design is... hard?? What??), and that's been really difficult to do, so I'm hoping this gets things back on track.

I'll be sending out a 10% off coupon to everyone who ordered in March even if your TAT is still within the quoted timeframe. I've already sent a few out, but I'm going to do the rest en masse, so I have some databasin' to do. (There's always databasin' to do.)

I appreciate all of you a tremendous amount; your support feedback, patience, grace, and kindness have been a huge gift to me during a period where I'm having to level up very quickly in a very short amount of time (a divorce, running a house by myself for the first time ever while trying to plan selling it + a cross-country move, taking care of an ill grandparent, learning how to run a new business) and I don't always believe in my own ability to do so. I won't get any more maudlin than that, but I simply can't overstate my gratitude for you all. Thank you.
