Love the new packaging!

I have ordered 5 or 6 trinket packs at this point and they always come packaged safely (and in eco-friendly paper packaging, no plastic packing materials, which I love). My most recent order came promptly and with kind extras and the trinkets themselves came in new to me sample bottles with black sprayers that sprayed easily and well, no leaks whatsoever, and as always the scents inside were unique and beautiful - I am always surprised and delighted by Ashe’s creations. If you want to try some very special scents unlike any you’ll smell on the market, give a trinket pack a try!

Alllllll the marshmallows

Nothing like standing knee-deep in marshmallows!! Soft, pillowy, and vanilla sweet, this is unequivocally MARSH-MAL-LOW. When the white musk comes in, it gives our favorite treat individuality and adds dimension. It elevates something familiar into something special. Think of the marshmallow as a beautiful wedding dress and the white musk as the veil. The dress is beautiful on its own, but the veil is its signature.

the smell of childhood hikes

Willowherb is INCREDIBLE. I didn't know what to expect from the notes (honestly true for everything from Mythpunk, the fragrances tend to be more of a vibe than the sum of its parts), but I read 'dry atmospheric' and knew I had to try.

I was really surprised upon smelling this to find that it pulled up a memory of hiking as a kid! I grew up in the southwest, so while we DID have forests we visited sometimes, they were high altitude and very dry and bright. This smells like those forests to me and brings up a lot of happy memories of walking with my childhood dogs and playing in the woods with my siblings.

I also thought it was a little spicy/peppery once dry, and I came looking for the notes again to find Ashe had updated them to include that little hidden one :P it fits so well with the dry cedar! Incredible scent and I have immense respect for any fragrance that can pull a feeling/memory out of me like that, I'm going to be snagging a full bottle of this as soon as I can.

totally magical mix

This is gorgeous.

It smells like clean skin that’s been warmed by bright sunlight surging through evergreens on a hot but super breezy day with enough shade to stay cool or even a little chilly. If that sounds gross, it’s not. “Skin musk” can sound a bit funky, but I promise there’s no funk here.

The cedar is prominent, and it’s not sharp or musty. It’s basically the ideal of cedar wood.
I also don’t find the pine to be sharp in the least; it’s “warm” if that makes any sense! and my complicated relationship with orange of all forms doesn’t affect me a bit with this scent. I love both pine and orange, but they usually give me scent fatigue rapidly. Not an issue here!

I feel like the cedar, pine, orange, rosemary, and musk especially just blend together so perfectly that they create an incredibly smooth experience without being flat. It’s just calm, yet bright and refreshing. I can’t explain how both can be true except *perfume goblin magic*

Definitely give this a go—maybe even if it’s got some notes that aren’t something you gravitate toward. I absolutely wouldn’t have tried this if I hadn’t gotten a surprise chance!

Wow! Instant love

From the first spray on paper, I was obsessed. And it smells just as good on my skin. The lightly sweet and powdery marshmallow is so beautifully blended with the mossy and petrichor notes. It’s a delicate fragrance but it lasts a long time and creates a cozy scent bubble.

A Flutter Amongst Flowers

From a few inches away, the first impression is creamy, buttery, and floral, with petals that feel like velvet. The flower is rich, but not heavy or heady. Neither petite nor oversized, it is instantly recognizable. Its presence seems to multiply, like a single flower in a vase somehow smelling like a dozen.

Move almost nose to skin and a distinctly different form appears, but it grows from the first: a green stalk, like that of a carnation with its leaves still attached. Smooth in places and interrupted by knobs in others, variations of green, yellow, and white twirl down the stem. Lift away from the skin and there is the flower. Move close again and there is the stalk.

Vastly lighter than the first, another floral appears. I sniff and sniff, trying to find a surface or texture. If the first floral is fur, the second slips through space like water. It is there, but impossible to hold onto long enough to decipher before it is gone.

As it continues to dry, the vase that was within reach now seems to sit farther away, but the flowers and stalks remain. The projection becomes cool and translucent, a mirage of their earlier form.

Cultivated in the quiet

Vanilla marshmallow. This scent has texture, like a jumbo homemade marshmallow being squeezed between your thumb and index finger. Powdered and firm, with a medium amount of softness and a slow springback.

A gentle nuttiness and mild earthiness emerge, along with something lightly browned, as if cooked just a little longer without reaching the point of being scorched. It takes away some of that initial fluffiness.

The spirit of purple iris drifts in, bringing with it a whiff of laundry soap. The clean floral catches the lingering marshmallow sweetness, and by the end, it is woven together with the fragrant rice, forming a thin veil over the skin.

yeah so this is unfairly good

Hinged review: YESSSSS. Realistic marshmallow that isn’t gag me sweet! To me it’s got an added layer of vanilla, and the tiniest tiniest bit of musk to add complexity and balance the sweetness. It’s still
sweet but I’d actually say it’s less sweet than Baby Bat Puff! Not a lot of projection which is perfect for what i want. Gonna try layering it with stuff that just makes me wonder if it would be fun to add marshmallow, and maybe even try it with babygirl to see if i like a mallow heavy version sometimes!

Unhinged review: There’s something seriously wrong or seriously right going on here cause i sprayed my bed with a rational amount of Baby Bat Puff, Mothmallow Puff, then absolutely unloaded a lot of Marshmallow Puff on top no regrets

Marshmallow Puff either broke or unlocked something in me and i don’t really know or care which it is.

The Softest of Spaces

First off, I love the whole Petrichor X line. It’s such a great example of what can be done within the atmospheric genre.

If you have ever driven down I-10 through the Texas Hill Country, there is this special time of year between March and April when you will see thick patches of bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes. TxDOT will be out there with their giant mowers, cutting the medians. Wet clumps of grass will begin to cling to the sides of the mowers, while plumes of that crushed-leaf, green-vegetable smell fill the air.

But right alongside that freshly cut grass are patches of wild bluebonnets, untouched by the mower, giving off their own signature scent. Spotting a particularly beautiful patch while driving, one would traditionally pull over and sit amongst them to take a picture. Completely encapsulated in the softest of spaces, you would instinctively take a deep inhale of what feels like pure oxygen, surrounded by the subtle floral scent of the bluebonnets and the almost honey-like sweetness of clover. All the while, the smell of freshly cut greenery hangs right above you.

Wearing this scent, all of those smells come together to form that picture in my head. It smells less like a collection of notes and more like a place I remember.
