I noticed the florals first, a milky tuberose (no bubblegum) and a softly tropical gardenia (just the slightest touch of suntan oil). The florals soon melted into a starchy toasty pandan, chewy and sweet and perfectly balanced so as not to take away from the buttery smooth florals. Ambergris comes forward once it's been warming on my skin for awhile, and hello center stage. This ambergris is FABULOUS, all fuzzy with a hint of salt and lots of texture, nothing stinky or briny here. It's a perfect addition to the creamy white petaled-tropical-pandan opening. I don't pick out much if any coconut cream, but this has only been resting for 24 hours so I'm very much looking forward to seeing how it smells with a little age. I'm sad to be trying this as summer is coming to an end, this would have been my perfect beach day scent. There is always next year!
Opens with the vibrant greenery of rosemary, made bright and refreshing with the cool, crisp notes of white wormwood. The woodsy warmth of rosemary is deepened with fragrant cedarwood, followed by the scent of towering pines. Their balsamic woods and verdant needles are beautifully aromatic complex — the sticky sweetness of amber pine resin brings out refreshing notes of sweet orange and a hint of peppery spice, and a swirl of sheer, salt air. A dab of soft skin musk smooths the scent, seamlessly blending brisk, herbal top notes with the comforting base.
I expected this to be very masculine and herbal, but I actually find this more of an androgynous atmospheric — the nostalgia of an evergreen forest with just a touch of herbal magic. I rarely find forest notes to be very wearable, but the woods here are absolutely beautiful, the pine has such an amazing realism. If you've been looking for natural pine, this is the one — comforting and warm and impressively realistic.
Also, I absolutely love this on my partner, so much so that he got to keep my bottle — a snuggly, peppery warmth that's bright enough for warm weather, I love it on him!
I wear this when I want something light that feels like me. Aquatic and smokey, light touch of wood in the background, minerally and almost dank. Love it!
Been looking for a "in the garden" fregrance for quite a while, and this hits the nail!! The petrichor, the rhubard and bean stalks, and the fresh soil all smell perfect together. Thank you!! I'll be full sizing.
mossmallow puff was probably my first mythpunk olfactive perfume that I ever smelled, and I love it sm. to me, a beginner, it smells like marshmallows and mossy greenery!
it's really rose forward but you can really pick out the crumbling headstones and greenery! I love this perfume sm, probably my favorite rose in my collection <3
What a delight! It's the freshest mango, perfectly ripe and sweet but still tangy, set off with creamy vanilla and accented with matcha and Mythpunk's fabulous lavender. It's a happy,sunny fragrance for when I need to add more happiness and sunshine to my day.
I didn't buy this at first because I wasn't sure about the blood note, but snapped it up later because I haven't met a Mythpunk Puff that I haven't liked. I'm so glad I did! It is all the happiest, most delectable full festival scent wrapped into one.
I hope this is a Halloween/Autumn regular! The patchouli is smooth and adds depth and spice, the marshmallow/brown sugar delectable, and the other notes beautifully support the overall cozy marshmallow warmth.
Most lavenders are too herbal/aromatic for me, but Mythpunk has magically conjured a lavender which is the most refined and elegant, almost edible, lavender I've encountered. I love both Hushkin and Dozykin; for me, Hushkin's lavender is perfectly set off with the vanilla/marshmallow/sandalwood cream. Soothing and happy!
I'm a total perfume newbie BUT I loooove this scent! it smells dark and playful, like burnt sugar (in a good way, I promise) and juicy cherries. one of my favs in my collection so far <3
Skullkin is such a unique fragrance. I knew I had to buy a FS when I saw it was being discontinued, and I’m sure glad I did! There’s nothing like it that I’ve smelled. Skullkin is in your face Spice(tm), but underneath the masa and incense is the aniseed, florals, and cacao to keep it from becoming too spicy. I think the aniseed is really prominent among the spices and it adds an extra oomph to what’s already a powerful blend. The marshmallows are barely there and provide just a hint of sweetness as well to keep the masa and incense from dominating. Skullkin stays fairly linear on me from start to finish and has crazy longevity (I’m talking 12 hours or more!). It’s definitely a fall/cool weather fragrance because the spicy notes can be a little too domineering in warm weather, but it’s so beautiful that I want to wear it all the time!
Patchouli is hit or miss for me, but this is beautiful. To me it’s a clean patchouli. I noticed this opens with a stronger hit of what I think is immortelle, which isn’t unbalanced but fades into an even more blended form. Then I primarily smell marshmallow, patchouli, and brown sugar in the foreground. I sprayed it on a clean, un-fragranced blanket 10 hours ago and while it’s not projecting very much anymore (a plus for me), it’s definitely still present!
It’s light and deep and sweet at the same time, without being heavy. I’d definitely wear this during any weather.
Mossmallow Puff is relaxation in a bottle, leading with the earthy/mossy notes and fading into a sweetness that lasts all day. Anytime I wear this I end up smelling my arms all day long. I upgraded to the bauble right away, I cannot recommend this scent enough <3
This smells exactly like an idealized version of a cowboy. A cowboy from fantasy-land. I originally ordered this as a trinket but I'm gonna have to full-size.
