Fluffkin

I love Fluffkin! It's rice, marshmallow, woods, and a tiny bit clean from the laundry/stuffkin base. If you are a ride or die gourmand fan this is probably a level 3/5 on the sweetness scale (for me level 5 sweetness is something like Bianco Latte). The combination of rice and marshmallow really do give the effect of a fancy rice crispy treat but the light woods and laundry make it wearable for those who don't love super foody perfumes. My only complaint is the fact that 6ml is the largest size!

This is my new sleep scent. I got over a week’s worth from the sample, using 2-6 sprays per night. (I like to read in bed because “sleep hygiene” just means washing the sheets weekly right?) so I often respray after a couple hours. It didn’t really need it though- when i would leave the room and come back it was apparent it was still prominent.

Fluffkin doesn’t smell overly sweet to me, just the right amount. I primarily get hot dry rice (smells just like my microwaveable rice stuffed eye pillow), and the smell of fresh clean cotton with some supporting warmth and sweetness. I can’t stand scented laundry products—none of that here. Just plain clean. I find this note more subtle than real sun dried laundry, which can smell quite strong (but nice!) to me.

i think it smells of marshmallow, but i wouldn’t recognize it as a marshmallow scent without knowing, and that’s my favorite fragrance note (probably partly my nose and partly because it’s so well incorporated).

I find the sandalwood to be *very* light and quite reminiscent of Alkemia’s Arabesque. I also wouldn’t know it was there without being told. I think the woodsy note is also subtle and supporting the scent to round things out. I’ve no clue what rice flower smells like, but I don’t usually like florals and this doesn’t screech floral at me.

Anyway, to end my novel about my new obsession, this is unbelievably cozy, strong without being overwhelming (i’m sensitive to that), and i would buy a freaking quart of it if i could. i normally take forever to finish perfumes but i want my whole bedroom to smell like this forever. I would love if MO offered bigger sizes in the future, which is really saying something.

In short, I wanna put this in a squirt bottle and be set loose in my home. unsupervised and unaccountable.

I am so so excited to get more Fluffkin! Way back when, Fluffkin was a freebie sample. I never would have picked it, it sounded too sweet and I’m more of an atmospheric person, but when I tried it, I was blown away. The toasted rice is so cozy with the marshmallow, there’s a woodiness that keeps things from getting too sweet. It’s woody and warm, taking a nap in the sunshine after eating something sweet. It’s what I put on when I’ve had a bad day and need to feel safe. I held on to the empty trinket bottle because just smelling it helped, so I’m so pleased to get a bottle.

Also, after reading about Cheddar and how the Stuffkin scents were thought of, it does give me the same sort of safe and away from the world feeling I’d gotten from my late soulcat, this wasn’t how she smelled, but it feels like her and that’s really special. Thanks.

When I say that I stalked this scent, I mean it. Fluffkin is a pretty little cloud of rice, rice flower, and marshmallow. It has a beautiful throw, and feels soothing. Like, yeah, the world is rough but here’s a little bubble of soft where you can lay down your head and rest for a moment.

Sometimes I'm sensitive to very strong scents. This one is nice, calm, somewhat sweet, but also soft in a sense. I would also agree it has a sense of clean to it.
