Floral and sweet, I can smell it all day
Big disclaimer: I usually am *not* a floral person, but I saw marshmallow and marzipan and thought this might work for this gourmand girlie. Unfortunately, my skin had other plans.
I'm struggling to articulate precisely what doesn't work for me, but there's a slightly musty quality that develops on my skin and doesn't sit right. The scent itself is beautifully blended, but on me, the sweetness and that musty undertone seem to amplify one another and carry throughout the wear.
This gourmand girlie may have simply chosen the wrong faerie door.
Faerie Door is hands down, my favorite perfume by Ashe. To me, FD is a unique floral with light gourmand/vanillic notes in the background, with something like a sugared peach or apricot note.
Altogether it brings to mind: gossamer, sugared flower petals, pastel marshmallows, sweet fruits + berries, glittering wee fae folk offering you tea. (Please forgive my purple prose, but scent is a powerful thing!) Faerie Door is an atmospheric, transportive perfume!
Beware, this shop is NOT active, your email will now bounce back, and you will have to file a chargeback. Ashe deleted all their socials yet conveniently has left their shop up to continue collecting money from people without any intention of ever fulfilling orders. My order placed in October went beyond the stated TAT time, my emails inquiring were never responded to, and I had to file a claim with Affirm to get my money back. There are many threads in the Reddit IndieMakeupAndMore community detailing the same if you search the shop name. I have filed a complaint with Shopify and I will be reporting to the BBB shortly as well. Do not hand over your hard-earned money to this scam artist. I should never have given Mythpunk the benefit of the doubt after you ran off with customers' money without communication for months the first time. Karma will come for you, Ashe.
hey there!
i apologize for the frustrating experience you've had with my store. i'm really sorry to hear that i've broken your trust and loyalty. i certainly understand where you're coming from - you left this review during a period when i was absent due to some medical instability caused by losing access to my psychiatric team very suddenly. all orders that experienced delays during this period have been shipped or refunded.
i have schizoaffective disorder that is treatment resistant, and when i'm unstable or trialing new medications, things go downhill for me very quickly, and i dropped the ball on every aspect of my life. i'm currently in a good place thanks to a new psychiatric team (genuinely, i feel better than i have in over a decade), and i'm trying to rebuild trust slowly by showing up every day.
i understand that i can't regain everyone's trust back, but i hope to prove myself over time. currently, my business is fully operational and i'm shipping within my stated TAT, and i'm confident in my ability to maintain this.
i'd like to address a couple of other points you brought up: my email address was never deleted, but i remember learning about some DNS issues that had caused bouncebacks to customers that i think happened around this time. the only social media i had at the time of your review was reddit, and my comments had been hidden in i believe early 2025, prior to the absence you're noting. i can understand why these things felt important enough to note in your review, but they were coincidences. i did not have the mental capacity to log onto anything at that time, unfortunately, so i did leave my shop up to fester, which was very irresponsible of me, and i can understand why, from your perspective, it seemed like i shut down contact routes and left the shop open simultaneously, but the email thing was a technical issue, and the removal of my comments happened at a different time.
when i was initially getting back on my feet, i decided to archive your review because it wasn't specifically a product review, but i've determined that it's best for transparency's sake to reinstate it and respond to it directly.
thank you,
ashe
Faerie Door is a beautiful fleurmand. The sweetness from the marshmallow and marzipan is perfectly balanced with the florals and blackberry blossom. Lovely.
