wow the cumin in this is really nice! I've heard it can smell like BO but this is not at all sweaty though it is slightly human smelling? This is a new note to me. The spikenard brightens it and keeps it fresh and I think the savory note that contrasts with it is actually the ambergris. As the spices settle I get an incredibly realistic rum note for a good hour before it's balanced out by slightly damp wood notes. All in all this smells like a refined older gentleman who has been making a savory Broth in his oceanfront cabin.
Opens with a bright balsamic note, hints of fruity sweetness, and a splash of subtly spiced rum. Smoky cumin appears, a bit intimidating at first, but it's soon blended with patchouli and further softened by the golden warmth of the opening, which has an almost tropical feel. Soft musk emerges, accompanied by spikenard, its herbaceous green notes and resinous woods take on a rich, caramelized quality that gives the scent a sophisticated, yet alluring warmth. The drizzle of cool, sweet rain is a surprising twist, an evocative, atmospheric touch that only adds to the scent'ss refined quality.
This a sexy, lo masc, summer scent that smells very natural — balsamic with resinous woods, lightened by herbs and sweet, golden top notes, all under a fine, rainy mist. This is one of those scents that would definitely catch my attention if I met someone wearing it, but it doesn't feel like me. Very glad I got to try it though!
This is the only Mythpunk scent I feared so I was excited to try it! On fabric: starts off cumin & a mix of woody, salty, somewhat sweet smells. On skin: you'll get more cumin! It almost resembles sweating after a day in the hot sun, in a pleasant way. The somewhat human-like quality of the scent mixed with bayrum, woodiness, & a fruity rose smell are well blended. Like another reviewer said, it's oddly comforting! I can see how this got the fluid tag because sometimes my nose picks up a masculine scent & other times it zones in on a sweet rose. Overall polarizing & well crafted. I enjoyed wearing this!
As others have suggested, the perfume opens with cumin and the cumin note is what best described as assertive. Even two days later, I can still catch a glimpse of it on my clothes. The bay rum, patchouli and rose kept the scent from turning grocery store spice aisle, and give the scent depth. After 10 hours, the cumin mellowed out, and the scent transforms into a warm woodsy herbal scent. This is oddly comforting for me, and I come back to it when I want something usual to wear.
This one smells good but I don't think I'm strong enough to wear it 3. It starts very strongly with the cumin, which is to be expected with it being the 2nd note listed, and as it dries down more sweetness and warmth comes through. The cumin becomes less immediately apparent but remains present throughout the entire wear. At first I was unsure about this one, but it ended up growing on me and I do think it's well-made. I just don't think I could wear this in public(;´д`)... it's made for stronger souls than I. I'll probably end up finishing up the sample on days when I won't be going out though. I'd give it a shot if the cumin note interests you though!!
