First off, I love the whole Petrichor X line. It’s such a great example of what can be done within the atmospheric genre.
If you have ever driven down I-10 through the Texas Hill Country, there is this special time of year between March and April when you will see thick patches of bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes. TxDOT will be out there with their giant mowers, cutting the medians. Wet clumps of grass will begin to cling to the sides of the mowers, while plumes of that crushed-leaf, green-vegetable smell fill the air.
But right alongside that freshly cut grass are patches of wild bluebonnets, untouched by the mower, giving off their own signature scent. Spotting a particularly beautiful patch while driving, one would traditionally pull over and sit amongst them to take a picture. Completely encapsulated in the softest of spaces, you would instinctively take a deep inhale of what feels like pure oxygen, surrounded by the subtle floral scent of the bluebonnets and the almost honey-like sweetness of clover. All the while, the smell of freshly cut greenery hangs right above you.
Wearing this scent, all of those smells come together to form that picture in my head. It smells less like a collection of notes and more like a place I remember.
Been looking for a "in the garden" fregrance for quite a while, and this hits the nail!! The petrichor, the rhubard and bean stalks, and the fresh soil all smell perfect together. Thank you!! I'll be full sizing.
I am normally a gourmand person, but perilla garden has grabbed my by the lapel and demanded my attention. It is so fresh and the most "green" thing I have smelled, and something - I think the lapsang souchang- gives it a wonderful depth. Planning to get more for the hot and humid summer months in the Midwest.
I ordered 5 samples back in October and never received them, nor any sort of update from the owner of the shop. Ive tried to reach out over email 4x with no response from the Owner unfortunately. Don't waste your money, you wont receive any product or a refund.

i apologize for the negative experience you'd had with my store. i see you've posted the same review across multiple products, so i understand this was a really frustrating experience for you. my store is currently open and fully operational, but you left these reviews during a period where i was very unwell and dropped the ball on a lot of things, and i'm so regretful to have caused such a negative experience for you.
i see that a chargeback was processed for you on your order in january. hopefully those funds were processed back to you by your bank. if there's anything i can do to make things right for you, i'd love to hear from you.

A very fresh and rainy opening! After an initial blast of slightly bitter greens, the petrichor really shines. This reminds me of stepping out into my grandmother's yard on a summer morning after a rainy night on the east coast. Bean sprouts is exactly right. The intensity of the green dies down to a bean sprout murmur and there's a soft, round, airy and woody sweetness that comes forward. The sweetness hints at fruitiness and the maesil tea note. This is subtle in a way that makes me take shallow, intentional breaths to smell it as much as possible. I don't get any of the smokiness one might expect from lapsang souchong, but I could see getting a black tea from this sweetness. The scent lasts for 10+ lovely hrs on me.
