Comes out of the gate hard and fast, and almost astringent before softening into a mellow, clean scent. I love bergamot so this felt like a no brainer for me; the bergamot takes a backseat as it dries down but never fully disappears. This is one of those perfumes that changes even as you breathe in deeper, getting sweeter and softer and creamier as it fills your nose. If you’re looking at the notes and going “this would be perfect if it didn’t have patchouli,” give it a shot anyway. I can’t smell anything that resembles a stereotypical patchouli. Really beautiful.
I have to start by saying I love green, clean and effervescent scents. Emerald Pearl is all of those things. It's crispy green that tickles my nose and makes me feel bubbly and light. It reminds me a lot of TreeHouse Royal by Pinrose. Except the green fig is replaced with a juicy delicious pear.
Emerald Pearl Moth was the perfumer's choice sample of my last order and I'm really glad for it! Its such a surprising scent. Firstly, its labeled as being lo-femme but i perceive it as being more masc leaning on my skin, which i love personally! The initial spray has this addictive bright quality to it that mellows out into a fruity, musky, clean, and piney sort of smell as it dries (there's a cooling sensation thats almost minty!). The florals in the background do a good job of carrying the scent without overwhelming the rest of the notes, and I think the patch is whats helping round everything out and keep it balanced. It's really well blended and unique, I don't think I've smelled anything like it!
clean and fresh and perfect for humid southern weather. great longevity, lasted all day on my skin. not sure if i’ll full size because it’s a little too clean for my tastes but i will definitely enjoy my sample:-)
Sadly, this one didn't make it for me. Too much petitgrain and critonnier musk pear with just a hint of ambergris which gives off a sweet sweat scent. Everything else is just non-existent on my skin. This should obviously be seen as a personal experience being shared and doesn't mean it'll be the same for you but above all, be sure to sample this first!
