EDIT: I am leaving my original review, but editing after seeing my review reinstated. I upped my star rating to reflect my thoughts on the perfume itself. I didn't want to leave a review that wasn't about the product, or a negative review, because I had many previous positive experiences with this shop, but I also felt that it fit with my values to let people know the shop was not shipping or responding at the time I left a one star review, in the only way I could. I have ordered many (no, really lol) times since the reopening and have had no issues except a missing bottle that was promptly replaced, and iirc 2 delays that were openly communicated.

New actual perfume review!:
This just isn't for me. I don't like giving a lower star rating to something so subjective, because maybe this is a me problem, but of all the Mythpunk fragrances I've tried, this one smells much more like a mainstream perfume. It's harder to pick out the individual notes than I expect from MP, and just smells so GREEN FLORAL that I can't get much else. Again...might be a personal sensitivity to an ingredient, because I've seen raves about this.

I’ve had many successful orders, but unfortunately they went AWOL for a second time around early October of 2025. The first time was for over six months. I never received my October order, emails weren’t replied to (and now they bounce back undeliverable), and no updates have been posted.

Be advised that the current turnaround time at the top of the site is NOT updated and was posted around late september or early october of 2025. This site is still accepting orders but you will not get your stuff unless they return later. I would strongly advise against ordering, and if you have already, do a chargeback through your bank.

i apologize for the frustrating experience you've had with my store. i'm really sorry to hear that i've broken your trust and loyalty after your successful orders. i certainly understand where you're coming from - you left this review during a period when i was absent due to some medical instability caused by losing access to my psychiatric team very suddenly. all orders that experienced delays during this period have been shipped or refunded.

i have schizoaffective disorder that is treatment resistant, and when i'm unstable or trialing new medications, things go downhill for me very quickly, and i dropped the ball on every aspect of my life. i'm currently in a good place thanks to a new psychiatric team (genuinely, i feel better than i have in over a decade), and i'm trying to rebuild trust slowly by showing up every day.

i understand that i can't regain everyone's trust back, but i hope to prove myself over time. currently, my business is fully operational and i'm shipping within my stated TAT, and i'm confident in my ability to maintain this.

i'd like to address the point you brought up about the emails bouncing back - i believe this was due to a DNS error and wasn't due to anything on my end as far as i know. i became aware of it once i was able to begin, well, taking care of things again, and it was an easy fix.

when i was initially getting back on my feet, i decided to archive your review because it wasn't specifically a product review, but i've determined that it's best for transparency's sake to reinstate it and respond to it directly.

80's horror movie night floral

this is a beautiful heady floral that is also very evocatively atmospheric when you're the one sitting in the center of its little cloud. it's uncanny the way the synthy accords specifically evoke the scent of water sprinkling from warm rubber tubes. i don't smell specific fruits or flowers but am given the overall impression of sweet, humid, tropical flora overtaking a man-made enclosure. i love to wear this to watch bright colored schlock horror from the 80's. it's refreshing and lovely, but it's also distinctively mad science, and i adore it for that.

Green, then soft

The opening is citrusy– my first guess without referencing the notes was lemon– which is quickly trampled by crushed greenery– bitter and as if it would stain your skin dark green. This fades pretty well on skin but stays tenacious on the clothes for a few hours before becoming much tamer– the florals are finally able to come to the forefront, soft and gentle, in tandem with the musk, which is what is most prominent to me. It is pale and soft, and I would swear it's very similar to sandalwood as well. At this stage I also feel as if it lands similarly to **Emerald Pearl Moth**, which has a "pearly vanilla musk" note, though I could just as well be affected by mental suggestion from the similar names as well here.

Sexy stoner vibes in a way

The opening is dark red, and is the most prominently floral part of the blend, concentrated and hazey. It is very subtle, but I can detect the coffee at this stage-- it is some drifting in the air from a distant room, or from someone who just walked by you. In the middle, the florals move out of the way, allowing the lipstick-- I imagine a dark, desaturated shade, freshly opened and creamy-- to come to the forefront alongside the dusty ash of the clove cigarettes. The classic nag champa, which increases in force as the scent wears, is most durable in the dry down, paired equally with Mythpunk's patchouli which I always read as pleasantly spiced. The nag champa is similar to me to the kind you find in those affordable incense packs, comfortable and smooth.

Cool, iced horchata

Despite the notes all being very warm, this scent is actually pretty diffuse and airy– it is an iced, refreshing horchata to be enjoyed on a hot day. It suits the cool weather we are having today where I am, yet I feel it'd be even better in hot weather– I think this is a stealth summer scent. The coconut on first spray is distinctly creamy and on the side of sunscreeny, which for how it interacts with the rest of the scent isn't a bad thing IMO. The ambers are smooth and bright and not resinous or dusty. The spices are heavily restrained and mostly contribute a mild 'tingle' to the scent. I don't catch the carnation very well but I am also just not very familiar with the flower in general which may be why.

True black jellybeans!

This scent is exactly what it says, and yet is much more than the sum of its parts. On first spray, the black jellybean scent is immediately apparent and very accurate– dark, slightly acrid black licorice, and it tag teams with the powerdery marshmallow texture. The black jellybeans quickly calm down, moving away from pure realism to something more nuanced and graceful–the anise stays strong, but the other aspects of the accord take up their own individuality. The patchouli (BTW, the patchouli that Mythpunk uses is the best I've had from any house) adds a chewy and warm spiced nuance, and the lisylang is not detectable as an independent floral but discernably adds a floral texture, smooth and waxy. In comparison to its sister Black Witchmoth Puff, it is less explicitly floral and more focused on nuanced simplicity.

smoky atmospheric!

The campfire you started with dry autumn leaves and fallen twigs, the forest you're sitting in, the cloudy sky above, and the freshly opened bag of marshmallows you're planning to roast later all at once. Amazing scent for wandering through the autumn woods <3 the marshmallow keeps the smokiness from going too crazy, which is saying something because usually I amp smoke so bad when I wear anything with a smoky note. It's so beautifully blended!

Woodsmoke Puff

Paws that have upturned rich soil and broken the stems of young plants, stained with the fresh green scent their sap left behind. The cave you holed up in for the night holds the scent of storm air and rainy woods and wet stone. Your fur's still just a little bit wet despite your best efforts to shake dry. Behind it all is the blanket left there for you by someone who loves you, something with a familiar, comforting scent for you to curl up with while you wait everything out, a little quiet before you have to face the morning ahead.

Wild but peaceful, atmospheric but fuzzy, plant and mineral above but soft and warm below. Howlkin is so fascinating to my nose!! I feel like I pick something new up every time I sniff it. And omg. The theming. Don't be afraid of the 'damp fur' note, this is genuinely a wearable scent and a whole lot of fun.

P.S. if you love Mossmallow Puff like I do, layering this with a little Marshmallow Puff is amazing :D

this is one of the most interesting fragrances I've ever sniffed. the metallic scent is sooo heavy at first, it smells like wet, bloody metal. and then then the almost dustiness hits, which reminds me of a dank basement. underneath all of that is the very sugary sweet scent of the candy corn and cotton candy. it reminds me of the fun park from outlast, or dark carnival from left 4 dead 2. it's really nice, and could definitely be worn either daily or for special occasions!! I hope this comes back next year, because I definitely want more. also love the freebies!!

Pleasant surprise!

This is one of the only early Mythpunk scents I never tried purely because metallic scents are my most hated smell ever both in perfumes and real life. However, I decided to try it out since I got the chance to have it for free. This is very pleasantly surprising!! I basically only get anything metallic right after spraying, after which it fades just as fast as it appears (the description does mention that the metal has gotten lighter in the mother bottle as well.) This has a very Scruffkin-esque texture: I primarily get fuzzy, spiced patchouli, with light amounts of cold, freshly rained on mud and apple cider wafting in in the background if I put my mind to finding them. This scent is warm, comforting notes on a bed of cold autumn atmospherics.

fantasy forest

Opens with a lovely realistic petrichor, complemented by a blend of soft green moss, ferns, and soil. It truly brings to mind a lush, rain-soaked forest. As it settles, a sweet, vanillic marshmallow appears. This marshmallow accord isn't sharp, plastic-y, or overtly gourmand, but instead soft, nostalgic, pillowy, and just a little bit powdery, almost a vanilla musk. The end result is something truly unique and ethereal. I really think this scent (in my opinion) captures the "Pixie Puff" concept the best: an enticing "almost-gourmand" scent that has both an approachable familiar sweetness, while also capturing the wildness and mystique of nature (in this case, an ancient mossy forest). Even if atmospherics or petrichor-focused perfumes are not your usual cup of tea, I believe this perfume is definitely worth trying even just once.

This has been my signature scent since I first found it, and I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

Summer hedonism

SO GOOD. The cardamom is bright on first spray, mingling with the orange blossom and champaca-- the orange blossom is not as pale orange and cheerful as I am used to it commonly appearing, this scent is definitely more on the dark/sexy side. The actual scent profiles aren't similar, but the vibes remind me of Cabanilla from Sorce-- it's absolutely a summer scent, but one on the side of dark warmth rather than airy freshness. The listing photo of this scent really captures the energy very well-- it is glowing and embery, sensual and hedonistic.

Photorealistic Pomegranate!

The pomegranate note in this is so impressive! It smells exactly like real pomegranate juice– crimson-red, concentrated, and tart. Swirled in with it are wafts of ylang ylang, creamy-banana-bubblegummy but in a way in line with the real flower. The rest of the scent doesn't appear in a way I'm able to discern from these two notes but that might just be from my nose being worn out from today– When I sniff closer to my shirt it is much more nuanced, a warm, creamy, tropical floral like smooth white petals. Looking forward to wearing this when summer rolls around again, which is when I think it will perform at its best.

Idealized Build A Bear

Perhaps I am just susceptible to suggestion from the scent name, but the opening smells like warm, synthetic plushie stuffing to me, like the idealized memory of a Build A Bear Workshop. This fades down into a more gentle fluffy texture and opens up room for the lavender and raspberry– the lavender is cool and herbal (similar to Hushkin) and the raspberry is tart and more on the freeze-dried rather than juicy side– if Plushkin is a dessert then the raspberry is a crushed up powder sprinkled overtop as a garnish.

Oh wow…

This was a love at first sniff. Tropical? Check. Something reminiscent of laundry? Check.A warm fragrance? Oh yeah. I have nothing in my collection like this scent and it is truly unique. Oh…lastibility? At least 12+ hours on my skin. Holy moly that is impressive

Yummy pine needles

Yummyy. On first spray I mostly get the pine and orange– the pine is very realistic and smells like a crushed pine needle, and it fits very well with the orange which is more on the side of zest than juice. Weirdly I also get a tinge of something aquatic– this has happened to me with other Mythpunk scents so I wonder if it is something with how I interpret their green notes. It gains a xeric texture as it dries down and the wood/musk starts coming out, reminding me of particularly scraggly wood bark textures, like red cedar or shagbark hickory. I have to smell up close to detect it, but the musk is definitely specifically black peppery. The rosemary and armoise aren't on the forefront for me but I do detect them adding an additonal herbal complexity to the scent.

I love the cherry and cedar combo in this! I can be pretty picky with fruit scents in fragrance, since they often smell more like fruit candy than true fruit to me, but the cherry here is just lovely. I read an offsite review from someone who mentioned this scent is a great one for lovers of Dusk Cherry Puff who are into the idea of a cherry with a little less sugar, and having tried this now I very much agree :-) Rosy Maple Moth is noticeably different on me depending on whether I apply to my skin or clothes, but I really enjoy both varieties. When sprayed on my arms, the wood is much more noticeable. On my clothes, the wood isn't as strong and the fairy floss is more prominent, so it's slightly sweeter and airier. Fun to smell either way!
